BENTON — A single-car crash on State Route 14A sent one juvenile to the hospital Tuesday morning.
Yates County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash around 8:20 a.m. on State Route 14A north of Havens Corners in the Town of Benton.
The vehicle exited the west side of the road for an unknown reason, striking a mailbox and earth embankment before coming to rest on the west shoulder.
The front passenger was transported by Penn Yan Ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of a back injury.
Two other juveniles in the vehicle were examined by medical personnel at the scene and released to their parents.
Benton and Bellona Fire Department, Penn Yan Ambulance and New York State Police also responded to the scene.
