Albany, NY police arrest 2, recover loaded gun and crack cocaine

ALBANY — Albany detectives recovered a loaded handgun and a quantity of crack cocaine during an investigation in the area of Central Avenue and Lexington Avenue.

On Monday, July 21 around 1:15 p.m., members of the Albany Police Department stopped two individuals on foot in the area of Central Avenue and Lexington Avenue in regard to an ongoing investigation.

Tahjakese Hepburn, 18, of Albany was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun.

Keylonne Williams, 20, of Rensselaer was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine.

Hepburn has been charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd.

He was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court Tuesday afternoon and remanded to the Albany County Jail.

Williams has been charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th.

He was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court Tuesday afternoon and released.
