Wethersfield police seek witnesses in portable toilet arson case

WETHERSFIELD — Police are investigating an arson case after a portable toilet caught fire at the Solomon Wells House on Sunday night.

The Wethersfield Police and Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department responded to 220 Hartford Avenue at approximately 11:58 p.m. on July 20.

During their investigation, detectives learned of a group of individuals who were seen on e-bikes leaving Cove Park at the time of the fire.

The individuals were last seen traveling east on State Street.

Detectives are seeking to identify and speak with the individuals who may be possible witnesses.
