BERLIN — A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Florida in connection with a March 5 robbery outside a CVS pharmacy that left a 71-year-old woman with a dislocated shoulder.
Paul Jeanerood was taken into custody by Florida law enforcement officials and is awaiting extradition to Connecticut to face charges related to the robbery and fraudulent use of a stolen credit card.
The victim’s purse was forcibly taken during the robbery, causing her shoulder injury.
The suspect immediately began using the victim’s stolen credit card to make multiple fraudulent purchases at locations throughout Connecticut, according to Berlin police.
The Berlin Police Department’s Investigations Division launched an extensive investigation, obtaining surveillance footage, vehicle descriptions and transaction details from retailers across the state.
Authorities identified and linked Jeanerood to the crime through persistent efforts and inter-agency cooperation.
Extradition proceedings have been initiated to transfer Jeanerood to Connecticut.
