Exeter traffic stop leads to warrant arrest

HOPE VALLEY — Troopers arrested Edwin A. Hernandez, age 28, of 76 Bolton Street Apartment #Right 76, Providence, Rhode Island on Monday, July 21 at 3:52 p.m. for a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant.

The warrant was for failure to appear for pretrial conference on the original charge of driving with suspended/revoked/cancelled license originating from the East Providence Police Department.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Victory Highway in Exeter.

Hernandez was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, posted cash bail to the Justice of the Peace, and released.

In a separate incident Monday at 6:37 p.m., troopers arrested Vidal L. Rodriguez, age 24, of 34 Vicksburg Street, Providence, Rhode Island for forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates and providing false documents to public officials.

Rodriguez’s arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 95 North in Hopkinton.

Rodriguez was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and held overnight as a bail violator pending a morning arraignment at Fourth Division District Court.
