MORETOWN — A 35-year-old Troy, N.Y., woman was arrested Monday evening on domestic assault charges after allegedly injuring a domestic partner and preventing them from calling 911.
Vermont State Police received a report of a domestic assault at 7:30 p.m. on River Road.
Investigation revealed Maura Pickett caused bodily injury to a domestic partner and attempted to prevent them from calling emergency services, police said.
Pickett was arrested and brought to the Berlin Barracks for processing.
She was issued conditions of release to appear in Washington County Superior Court – Criminal Division on July 22 at 12:30 p.m.
Pickett was held for lack of $300 bail.
She faces charges of domestic assault and interference with access to emergency services.
