MIDDLESEX — A 40-year-old Middlesex man was arrested Saturday morning on charges of endangering the welfare of a child following a domestic incident.
Tyler D. Demitry of Upper Hill Road was taken into custody at 8:40 a.m. after Yates County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a verbal domestic dispute that turned physical on East Swamp Road in the Town of Potter.
According to the sheriff’s office, Demitry subjected an adult female to unwanted physical contact during an argument that occurred in front of a child under the age of 17.
Demitry had left the residence before law enforcement arrived at the scene.
Deputies later located Demitry at his residence on Upper Hill Road in Middlesex.
He was arrested and transported to the Yates County Public Safety Building to await arraignment.
