PLYMOUTH — A 32-year-old male fugitive wanted by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office in Florida was arrested Thursday following proactive work by members of the Plymouth Police Department.
The individual, who had been residing at a residence on Daniel Webster Highway, was wanted in Florida on charges of sexual battery with a victim under 18 and offender over 18, false imprisonment of a child under 13, and lewd and lascivious molestation.
All charges carry no bond.
An alert Plymouth officer conducting routine proactive patrols was able to identify the fugitive.
Plymouth detectives initiated a traffic stop of the suspect Friday.
The arrest was carried out without incident.
The suspect was taken into custody and charged in New Hampshire as a fugitive from justice.
He was transported to the Grafton County Jail and appeared in Plymouth Circuit Court Friday, where he waived extradition and will be returned to Florida to face the outstanding charges.
