PRATTSBURGH — A 22-year-old Prattsburgh man was served a criminal summons Wednesday for allegedly possessing methamphetamine while in custody at the Yates County Jail.
Nathaniel E. Garber faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and promoting prison contraband in the second degree.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred in May while Garber was in custody at the jail.
Yates County Sheriff’s Office deputies served the summons at 9:47 p.m. Wednesday.
Garber is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date to answer the charges.
