Man dies after medical incident while working in water at Lake Winnipesaukee

MEREDITH — A 31-year-old man died Thursday after suffering a medical incident while working in Lake Winnipesaukee.

New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol received a report of an ongoing water rescue near Pinnacle Park Road just after 4 p.m. July 17.

Marine Patrol officers responded and assisted emergency services with lifesaving efforts after the man was pulled from the water.

The man was transported to Concord Hospital – Laconia, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Based on the preliminary investigation, Marine Patrol officers believe the victim was working in the water when he had a medical-related incident and fell face down into the water.

His identity is being withheld pending notification to his next of kin.

Marine Patrol officers were assisted by members of the Meredith police and fire departments and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
