SPRINGFIELD — Springfield Police Firearms Investigation Unit detectives arrested a 27-year-old man and seized an illegal firearm Tuesday morning during a warrant service.
Paul Mock was arrested at approximately 7:25 a.m. at his home in the 0-100 block of East Park Street.
Mock was wanted on charges in connection with a firearm-armed domestic kidnapping and assault.
Members of the Springfield Police FIU, Hampden County Sheriff’s Department, United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Massachusetts State Police VFAS conducted the operation.
During a search of Mock’s apartment, officers located and seized a loaded firearm.
Mock is charged with possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of ammunition without an FID card, improper storage of a firearm, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and arrest warrant.
