ORANGE — A Maine woman was injured Thursday afternoon when her motorcycle crashed on U.S. Route 302.
Samantha Casey, 55, of Wiscasset, Maine, was traveling west on Route 302 around 3:42 p.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, according to Vermont State Police.
Casey’s motorcycle traveled off the roadway and crashed near 305 U.S. Route 302.
Casey was wearing a helmet and seatbelt at the time of the crash.
She was transported to Central Vermont Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
Her 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle was totaled in the crash.
Weather conditions were clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the incident.
Troopers from the Berlin barracks responded to the single-vehicle crash.
