VERNON — Deputies responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident on Youngs Road on July 15 at around 7 p.m.
According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, Erin Kirk, 23, of Vernon was operating a 2014 Volkswagen eastbound on Youngs Road.
Dakota Kimball, 29, of Oriskany Falls was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Youngs Road when Kirk failed to yield the right of way and attempted to make a left turn into the driveway of her residence.
Kimball struck the passenger side of Kirk’s vehicle.
Kimball was evaluated on scene for his injuries and declined further medical treatment.
Kirk was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way while making a left-hand turn, returnable to Vernon Town Court at a later date.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Vernon Center Fire Department and Vernon Village Police Department.
