Monroe man arrested for public lewdness at Sloatsburg service area

MONROE — Troopers from SP Monroe arrested Jerry Hollender, 71, of Monroe, for public lewdness on July 11.

At approximately 4:20 p.m., State Police were dispatched to the Sloatsburg Service Area in Sloatsburg for a report of a man exposing himself.

When troopers arrived, they were notified by staff that a man, identified as Hollender, wearing a ski mask and sunglasses was intentionally exposing himself to customers in the men’s restroom.

Hollender had left the service area and was later located by troopers at his residence in Monroe for questioning.

Hollender was transported to SP Monroe for further processing.

Hollender was released and issued an appearance ticket to the Village of Sloatsburg Court on Aug. 27.

The investigation is ongoing.
