AUGUSTA — The Augusta Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying individuals connected to local incidents as part of their “Wanted Wednesday Alert” program.
Police are seeking information about people shown in photographs related to various cases under investigation.
The department said community members who recognize anyone in the photos should contact the investigating officer listed in the caption accompanying each image.
Officials emphasized that no detail is too small when providing tips to investigators.
Police acknowledged that some of the photographs may be of poor quality but said they are working with available evidence.
The department explained they do not disclose the specific reasons for seeking individuals in order to protect the integrity of ongoing investigations.
Cases could involve assault, hit and run incidents, credit card fraud, forgery or theft, according to police.
Store security cameras and home surveillance systems are often the best available tools for identifying suspects, officials said.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Augusta Police Department.
