Teen charged in Sandy Creek stabbing

SANDY CREEK — New York State Police responded to a report of a stabbing that occurred in the village of Sandy Creek on July 13 at about 11:10 p.m.

The victim, a 21-year-old male, was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

Following an investigation, troopers identified a 16-year-old male as the suspect in the incident.

The suspect was taken into custody and charged with assault in the second degree, a class D felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor.

The suspect was subsequently transported to Oswego County CAP Court pending arraignment.
