Mechanicville man arrested twice for DWI within week

MALTA — A 40-year-old Mechanicville man was arrested twice for driving while intoxicated within a six-day period, according to New York State Police.

Damian D. Cross was first stopped by State Police of Saratoga at 1:42 a.m. June 29 on State Route 67 in Malta for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation.

Cross was arrested for driving while intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

He was transported to SP Saratoga for processing where he recorded a 0.20% blood alcohol content.

Cross was issued tickets returnable to Malta Town Court on July 31 and released to a sober third party.

On July 5 at about 1:44 a.m., State Police of Queensbury stopped Cross again on Interstate 87 in Moreau for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation.

Cross was arrested for driving while intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

He was transported to SP Queensbury for processing where he recorded a 0.20% blood alcohol content.

Cross was issued tickets returnable to Moreau Town Court on July 16 and released to a sober third party.
