Lloyd police report 6 arrests on domestic, weapon charges

LLOYD — Town of Lloyd Police have arrested six people on charges ranging from domestic violence to weapon possession between July 8 and July 13.

Gerson Payes, 31, of Highland was arrested July 9 and charged with second-degree strangulation, third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault and third-degree coercion following a domestic dispute.

Payes was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part Court and remanded to Ulster County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.

He is scheduled to appear in Town of Lloyd Court on July 14.

Michael McNair, 32, of Poughkeepsie was arrested July 10 and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing.

Police say McNair threatened another person with a knife.

He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Town of Lloyd Court on July 24.

Joseph M. Plew, 22, of Wallkill was arrested July 10 and charged with petit larceny.

Police say Plew made approximately $356 in unauthorized store purchases against his employer.

Plew was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Town of Lloyd Court July 24.

James G. Trotman, 37, of Highland was arrested July 12 and charged with third-degree criminal mischief.

Police say Trotman broke another person’s cell phone during a domestic dispute.

He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Town of Lloyd Court on July 22.

James M. Colbert, 30, of Highland was arrested July 8 and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Police say Colbert damaged another person’s property.

He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Town of Lloyd Court July 22.

Ronald Ackert, 47, of Highland was arrested July 13 and charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say Ackert threatened another person with a knife during a domestic dispute.

He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Town of Lloyd Court July 24.
