Chemung County sheriff reports 4 arrests in Big Flats, Horseheads, Southport

BIG FLATS — The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office reported four arrests between July 9 and July 11, according to a daily arrest report released Monday.

Megan V. Naida, 42, of Alpine was arrested July 10 for endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor, and harassment in the 2nd degree, a violation, after a disturbance in the Town of Big Flats on July 9.

Naida was issued appearance tickets to appear in Big Flats Town Court at a later date.

Donald A. Painter, 19, of Warren Center, Pa., was arrested July 9 for grand larceny in the 4th degree, a Class E felony, after stealing from Walmart in the Town of Horseheads.

Painter was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Horseheads Town Court at a later date.

Emanuel G. Vazquez, 18, of Pennsylvania, was arrested July 9 for grand larceny in the 4th degree, a Class E felony, after stealing from Walmart in the Town of Horseheads.

Vazquez was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Horseheads Town Court at a later date.

Amber F. Best, 36, of Pennsylvania, was arrested July 11 for petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor, following a larceny complaint at the Dollar General in the Town of Southport.

Best was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Southport Town Court at a later date.
