New Bedford police seek help identifying collectibles store burglar

NEW BEDFORD — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a person who broke into a collectibles store and stole high-value trading cards.

The break-in occurred at 1st Edition Collectibles on Purchase Street during the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 8.

The individual broke into the store sometime after 2:30 a.m. and stole several high-value collectible cards, according to the New Bedford Police Department.

Police have released video footage of the incident and are asking anyone who recognizes the person or has information about the stolen items to come forward.

Anyone with information about the theft, sale or whereabouts of the stolen cards is asked to call police at (508) 991-6300 Ext. 77463.
