CHARLTON — An 11-year-old bicyclist died Thursday afternoon after their electric bicycle crashed into a tree on Jennings Road.
The Charlton Police Department responded to the crash at approximately 3:50 p.m. July 10.
Police found the electric bicycle had crashed into a tree with no other vehicles involved.
The child was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead a short time later.
The investigation remains ongoing by the Charlton Police Department, State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and CEMLEC (Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council).
