GREENWICH — State Police arrested Cassie L. Waldynski, 38, of Amsterdam, N.Y., on July 2 for aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, six counts of endangering the welfare of a child and other vehicle and traffic law violations.
Troopers received a report at about 8 p.m. of a vehicle being operated in an unsafe manner with children inside in the area of State Route 22 in Granville, N.Y.
Troopers located a vehicle matching the complainant’s description and stopped it on County Route 31 in Hebron, N.Y., after observing vehicle and traffic law violations.
The driver was identified as Waldynski and six children under the age of 16 were located in the vehicle.
Waldynski was arrested and transported to State Police Greenwich for processing where she recorded a 0.24% blood alcohol content.
The children were turned over to a family friend.
Waldynski was issued tickets returnable to Hebron Town Court on July 21 and released to a sober third party.
