BARRINGTON — A Barrington man was arrested after a pursuit that started in Epping and ended in Barrington.
At 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, the New Hampshire State Police received a report of a driver who was refusing to stop for the Epping Police Department.
Responding troopers located the pursuit along Route 27 in Epping and assumed primary lead of the incident.
The driver continued to travel through several communities, including Epping, Raymond, Nottingham, and Barrington.
Tire deflation devices were successfully deployed, although the driver continued toward Barrington at a reduced speed.
At 8:10 p.m., the driver stopped in a residential neighborhood in Barrington and was taken into custody.
The driver was identified as Nathan Hartung, 49, of Barrington.
Hartung was charged with a third offense of driving while intoxicated, operating after suspension, operating a motor vehicle without a required alcohol interlock device, and disobeying a police officer.
Hartung was held in preventative detention and is scheduled to appear in Rochester District Court Thursday at 11 a.m.
During the pursuit, troopers were assisted by the Epping Police Department, Raymond Police Department, Nottingham Police Department, and the Barrington Police Department.
