Brewer police arrest 3 on drug charges in separate incidents

BREWER — Three people were arrested on drug-related charges in two separate incidents July 9, according to the Brewer Police Department.

Cpl. Woodman, Cpl. Cummings and Officer Hacker responded to a report of a suspicious individual in the area of Lyford Drive.

Officers located Albert Russell, 41, of Holden, who had an active warrant for failure to appear.

Russell was taken into custody and a search resulted in the seizure of fentanyl.

He was transported to the Penobscot County Jail and charged with warrant for failure to appear and aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, a Class A felony.

Later that shift, the same officers responded to an unrelated call regarding wanted individuals on South Main Street.

Officers made contact with Robert Cote, 47, of Brewer, and Dawn Thibodeau, 42, of Brewer, both of whom were on probation with conditions prohibiting drug use or possession.

Fentanyl was seized during this incident.

Both were arrested and transported to Penobscot County Jail.

Cote was charged with probation hold and unlawful possession of Schedule W drugs, a Class C felony.

Thibodeau was charged with probation hold, unlawful possession of Schedule W drugs, a Class C felony, and falsifying physical evidence, a Class D felony.
