Providence man arrested on driving charges after police locate stolen vehicle

PROVIDENCE — Troopers arrested Lionel Lugo, age 42, of Providence, on Monday, July 7, at 3:14 p.m. for driving without consent of owner and driving with a suspended license- fourth + offense.

The arrest resulted from troopers responding to a BOLO from the Pawtucket Police Department and locating the vehicle in the City of Providence.

Lugo was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned/presented as a bail/probation violator, and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

In a separate incident, troopers arrested Byron Soto Lopez, age 42, of 42 Hauxhurst Street, Providence, on Tuesday, July 8, at 12:53 a.m. for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs BAC unknown and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Thurbers Avenue in the City of Providence.

Lopez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
