SUMMERHILL — A 51-year-old man died Monday evening when his pickup truck overturned on State Route 90 in Cayuga County.
New York State Police at SP Auburn responded to the one-vehicle crash at approximately 5 p.m. July 7.
A preliminary investigation determined that a 2017 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck was traveling eastbound on State Route 90 when it lost control and exited the north side of the roadway.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the vehicle when it overturned.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The passenger, Lawanda H. Eaton, 47, of Cortland, had no apparent injuries.
She was transported to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, where she remains in stable condition.
The New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit responded and processed the scene.
The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and the Locke Fire Department assisted state police.
