VERONA — A Verona man was arrested after a domestic incident that occurred in the afternoon on July 7 in the Town of Verona, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.
Road Patrol Deputies were called for a domestic complaint and upon arrival, Deputies spoke with two victims, one of them being a 16-year-old juvenile.
It was reported that there was a verbal domestic incident that escalated into a physical altercation when the suspect began striking the victims with a belt and then began damaging property.
Upon completion of the investigation, Ricco Torres, 34, was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Menacing in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, all class A Misdemeanors.
Torres was also charged with two counts of Harassment in the Second Degree, a violation.
Torres was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing and was subsequently turned over to the Oneida County Correctional Facility pending his arraignment.
