NEW LONDON — New London Police and Emergency Medical Services responded to an apartment at 179 Colman St. Monday at approximately 10:14 p.m. for the report of an unconscious male.
Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious and unresponsive adult male.
The male appeared to have sustained facial trauma.
The male was subsequently transported to L+M Hospital for medical treatment.
The scene was secured and a canvass of the location was initiated.
New London police detectives along with the Connecticut State Police-Eastern District Major Crime Squad and the New London State’s Attorney’s office responded to investigate the incident.
The victim’s injuries are serious.
The incident does not appear to be a random act.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
