POUGHKEEPSIE — A 41-year-old city man was arrested June 26 following a targeted investigation into drug sales in the Thompson Street area.
Bryan Bucchioni was taken into custody on Mansion Street without incident after Drug Task Force agents conducted controlled purchases of fentanyl and cocaine from him near 59 Thompson Street.
The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force began investigating after receiving intelligence about suspected drug activity in the area.
Agents secured a search warrant for Bucchioni’s residence and executed it simultaneously with his arrest.
Drug Task Force agents, assisted by Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol members, seized narcotics, digital scales and packaging materials consistent with drug sales during the search.
Bucchioni was charged with one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony.
Multiple additional charges are pending against Bucchioni related to the investigation.
He was arraigned in City of Poughkeepsie Court and released to probation supervision as required by state law.
The Drug Task Force was assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Bureau, Detective Bureau and City of Poughkeepsie Police.
