CHELSEA — A 36-year-old Chelsea man was charged with driving under the influence after crashing his motorcycle on Vermont Route 110 early Sunday morning.
Trevor Metcalf was driving a 1999 Honda motorcycle northbound on Route 110 at approximately 4:19 a.m. when he lost control and crashed, according to Vermont State Police.
Metcalf sustained serious bodily injuries and was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
The motorcycle was totaled in the crash.
Weather conditions were clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the incident.
Investigation determined that Metcalf was impaired at the time of the crash.
The crash was investigated by troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks.
