LANCASTER — A 39-year-old Colebrook man was arrested June 9 after a traffic stop led to the discovery of suspected narcotics in his vehicle.

Jacob Goodreau was initially stopped by Lancaster police for a motor vehicle infraction.

Police said Goodreau initially attempted to lie about his name and date of birth.

Once positively identified, he was taken into custody for operating without a valid license, misuse of plates, disobeying an officer and false report to law enforcement.

During a tow inventory, suspected narcotics were located in the vehicle.

The inventory was stopped and the vehicle was seized while police applied for a search warrant.

A search warrant was subsequently granted.

During the search of the vehicle, more suspected narcotics were located.

All substances will be sent to a laboratory for testing.

Goodreau faces additional charges of transporting drugs in a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled/narcotic drug, with two counts each.

Goodreau was released on personal recognizance with a pending court date in Lancaster District Court.
