SOUTH WINDSOR — Police arrested two people in separate incidents Tuesday, including a Massachusetts woman on a theft warrant and a local man for allegedly violating a protective order.

Brenda L. Figueroa, 37, of Springfield, Massachusetts, turned herself in at police headquarters at 1:40 p.m. on an active arrest warrant for larceny in the fifth degree.

The charge stems from a March theft at Old Navy at 101 Evergreen Way, where police say Figueroa stole approximately $400 worth of merchandise.

Figueroa was processed and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

She is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on June 18 at 9 a.m.

In a separate incident, police arrested Ravi K. Mangal, 38, of South Windsor, at 10:37 p.m. Tuesday for violation of a protective order.

Police responded to a South Windsor residence for reports of a domestic violence incident.

During the investigation, police determined Mangal lunged at the victim and attempted to head butt her, in violation of an active protective order.

Mangal was taken into custody and processed and released on a $7,500 non-surety bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court Wednesday at 9 a.m.
