PORTLAND — Portland Police have arrested three individuals connected to a shots fired case that took place in the early hours of Dec. 26 at 139 Cumberland Ave.
On that date, police discovered numerous damaged windows and bullet holes in several apartments.
More than a dozen rounds appeared to have been fired into the structure, and shell casings were found in the snow in Peppermint Park.
No injuries were reported by any of the occupants.
On Wednesday night, Portland Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division and its Special Reaction Team arrested 18-year-old Jeissey Khamis of Portland, 18-year-old Mogga Yanga of Portland, and an 18-year-old who was 17 at the time of the crime and was charged as a juvenile.
All three were charged with Criminal Attempt (Elevated Aggravated Assault) and Reckless Conduct With A Dangerous Weapon.
They were transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
The 18-year-old was also charged with a separate adult criminal offense but has juvenile charges related to this incident and will not be identified.
