SUNDERLAND — The Vermont Drug Task Force arrested a 34-year-old Sunderland man Wednesday on charges of fentanyl trafficking and felony possession of cocaine.
Zachary J. Repinski was taken into custody in Bennington following an investigation that included a search of his residence on May 9.
During the search, authorities discovered firearms, high-capacity magazines, ammunition, approximately 10 grams of cocaine, and about 200 bags of fentanyl.
The search warrant was executed by Vermont Drug Task Force detectives, Vermont State Police troopers from the Shaftsbury Barracks, and members of the Bennington County Sheriff’s Department.
Repinski was initially arrested at his home on May 9 by Bennington Probation and Parole for violating his probation conditions from a previous felony heroin possession conviction on Oct. 1, 2024.
He was arraigned on the probation violation on May 12 and released with conditions, including GPS monitoring and a requirement to report to Probation and Parole within one business day.
Following his arrest at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Repinski received a criminal citation for the drug charges.
He is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Bennington Criminal Division on Monday, June 2.
The Bennington County State’s Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case.
