2 Syracuse women arrested on felony grand larceny charges in New Hartford

NEW HARTFORD — Two women from Syracuse were arrested Monday afternoon by New Hartford Police Investigators on charges related to multiple thefts that occurred in October.

Janaya Dixon, 20, and Zerihya Felder, 21, both of Syracuse, are alleged to have entered Victoria’s Secret, Dicks Sporting Goods and Ulta Beauty in New Hartford between Oct. 14 and Oct. 21.

Felder and Dixon are accused of acting together and stealing a total of $5,333.88 in merchandise during this period.

Police identified both suspects through further investigation.

Both women were charged with three counts of Grand Larceny 4th, a felony, and one count of Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor.

Dixon was apprehended in Jefferson County on unrelated charges and turned over to New Hartford Police Investigators.

Felder was also in custody on other unrelated charges.

Both were arraigned in The Town of New Hartford Court Monday afternoon and remanded at this time.
