Woman with 38 prior arrests charged with grand larceny in Highland

HIGHLAND — A Poughkeepsie woman with 38 prior arrests was charged with multiple counts of grand larceny after allegedly stealing a vehicle and credit cards in Highland.

Jenilee Dupont, 42, was arrested Feb. 25 and charged with 17 counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree and petit larceny, according to the Town of Lloyd Police.

Authorities said Dupont is accused of stealing a motor vehicle and a wallet containing numerous credit cards from the vehicle.

She was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Parts Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.

Dupont is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lloyd Court on March 18.

In separate incidents, police also reported several other arrests.

Brian K. Nelson, 52, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested Feb. 28 on a warrant for petit larceny after allegedly stealing $156 worth of merchandise from the Hannaford store in Highland.

Beth A. Pickett, 43, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested March 2 on a warrant for petit larceny, accused of stealing $35 worth of merchandise from Hannaford.

Samuel J. Butcher, 48, of Boiceville, was arrested Feb. 26 and charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped for traffic violations on Route 9W in Highland.

Britney A. Husted, 35, of Newburgh, was arrested Feb. 27 on a bench warrant for petit larceny.

Jason W. Brady, 42, described as homeless, was arrested Feb. 28 and charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly walking in the roadway and impeding traffic.

Shena M. Dehart, 29, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested March 2 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree after being stopped for traffic violations on Route 44/55 in Highland.
