Barre man cited for doing 105 mph on VT RT 62

BERLIN — A Vermont State Police Trooper conducting speed enforcement on VT RT 62 stopped a vehicle clocked at more than double the posted speed limit on Oct. 7.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., Ryan Abreu-Grandfield, 26, of Barre, was observed traveling at 105 mph in a 50 mph zone.

Following the traffic stop, Abreu-Grandfield was cited for negligent operation and excessive speed.

He is scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court-Criminal Division on Nov. 14 at 8:30 a.m.
