Derby man missing, search extends across multiple Vermont counties

DERBY — Norman McAllister, a 77-year-old resident of Derby, has been reported missing since Saturday evening. The Vermont State Police issued an alert after McAllister was last seen leaving his home around 9:30 a.m.

He was supposed to visit a relative in Milton, but never arrived.

McAllister is driving a silver 2022 Toyota RAV4, with Vermont license plate HLW477.

He is described as a Caucasian male, 5’8″, weighing 245 pounds, with balding black/grey hair and blue eyes.

His clothing description at the time of departure is unknown. McAllister is accompanied by two miniature poodles.

The search extends across Orleans, Lamoille, and Chittenden Counties.
