ST. JOHNSBURY — A man from Williamstown has been arrested and charged with DUI #4, false information to law enforcement officers, two counts of violating conditions of release, habitual offender, and criminal driving with a suspended license.

Jason Ward, 39, was stopped by Vermont State Police troopers on March 12, for several motor vehicle violations on Interstate-91 in St. Johnsbury.

Upon speaking with Ward, troopers observed several signs of impairment and arrested him for suspicion of driving under the influence.

During processing at the St. Johnsbury Barracks, Ward provided a false identity under the name Richard Manning.

Further investigation revealed that Manning was actually Jason Ward, who was also in violation of conditions of release.

Ward was located by Parole and Probation and arrived at the St. Johnsbury Barracks on his own accord.

He was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia Criminal Court on April 10.
