Man arrested on domestic charges in Halfmoon

HALFMOON, NY — Sheriff’s deputies responded to an active domestic incident Friday at 6:54 p.m. on Hayner Heights Drive.

Investigation led to the arrest of Mark S. LaRock Jr., 31, of Halfmoon.

LaRock was charged with aggravated family offense, criminal contempt in the 1st degree and assault in the 3rd degree.

He is accused of committing a specified offense under the statute having previously been convicted of a specified offense within the immediately preceding five years.

LaRock was also charged with intentionally causing physical injury to another person by shoving them into a dresser and of violating an order of protection in doing so.

The victim sustained pain and bruising to their lower back and side.

LaRock was arraigned before the Honorable Joseph V. Fodera in the Halfmoon Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
