2 arrested in human trafficking operation in Dorchester

BOSTON, MA — Two people were arrested Monday in Dorchester following a multi-agency human trafficking operation.

Keysha Ortiz, 37, of Dorchester, and Yuberkys Recci, 29, of Dorchester, were taken into custody at about 6:01 a.m.

Officers from the Boston Police Department’s Human Trafficking Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, SWAT Team, and Massachusetts State Police Special Services Section High Risk Victim Squad executed warrants for Recci’s person, a residence on Magnolia Street, and a motor vehicle.

A loaded 9mm pistol and 200 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the residence.

Recci is charged with kidnapping, trafficking of a person for sexual servitude, deriving support from prostitution, unlawful possession of a firearm, assault by means of a dangerous weapon to wit firearm, possession with intent to distribute Class A drugs, possession with intent to distribute Class B drugs, and witness intimidation.

Ortiz is charged with armed career criminal level three, unlawful possession of a firearm, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, possession with intent to distribute Class A drugs, possession with intent to distribute Class B drugs, and two counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon.

Both suspects are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
