TANNERSVILLE, PA — A 46-year-old man was charged Thursday after police said he pointed a gun at his wife during an argument.
Salvatore Battista, of Tannersville, was charged with possessing an instrument of crime, simple assault by physical menace, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.
Officers with the Pocono Township Police Department responded to a residence in Alpine Lake around 1:26 p.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance.
Through investigation, police determined Battista had pointed a gun in the victim’s face during recent arguments.
Battista was arraigned Thursday before Magistrate Kresge and released on $10,000 bail.
He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
