Vehicle theft leads to arrest in Bensalem

BENSALEM, PA — A man was arrested July 13 after an investigation into a stolen vehicle from a dealership.

Police responded June 23 to Faulkner Toyota for a report of a stolen Toyota Corolla.

The investigation showed a man entered the collision center June 18 by gaining access through a garage door panel.

The man took keys to the vehicle and was last seen leaving south on Lincoln Highway into Philadelphia.

The vehicle was recovered June 26 by Philadelphia police after it fled during attempted traffic stops.

The man returned to the dealership July 3 at 1:26 a.m. and attempted to enter vehicles before triggering an alarm and fleeing.

Officers identified the man as someone they had previously contacted at a local business.

Police responded July 13 at 2:05 a.m. to a report of a man inside a closed business in the Neshaminy Interplex.

Officers made contact with Marsell Crowder, 36, of Philadelphia, who initially provided a false name before being positively identified.

Crowder had an active arrest warrant out of Delaware County for drug possession.

He was taken into custody and found in possession of controlled substances.

Crowder was charged with multiple counts of burglary, criminal trespass, theft of a motor vehicle and other offenses.

He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Joseph Falcone, who set bail at 10% of $200,000.

Crowder was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
