WARWICK, RI — Troopers arrested a Providence man after a high-speed pursuit on Route 95 North.
Ryan Scott, 39, of Providence, was taken into custody at 10:15 p.m.
Scott was charged with eluding law enforcement in a high-speed pursuit, obstructing an officer in execution of duty, and operating a suspended license.
He also was wanted on an arrest warrant from Providence police for domestic assault by strangulation, domestic assault with a dangerous weapon, and interference with an electric meter.
Scott additionally had bench warrants from multiple courts for failure to appear for arraignment on charges of driving with a suspended license.
The warrants originated from the North Smithfield Police Department, the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, the East Providence Police Department, and the East Greenwich Police Department.
Scott was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and held overnight pending arraignment in Third Division District Court.
