Man arrested on contempt charge in Bath

BATH, NY — An officer with the Village of Bath Police Department was dispatched to a welfare check at about 12:53 p.m. on July 7.

The caller, Kenneth R. Mikko, of Bath, was determined to have an active Order of Protection against himself, mandating that he refrain from contact or any third party contact with the protected parties.

The officer interviewed protected parties, and it was discovered that Mikko had made contact with them multiple other times over the course of three months.

Mikko was located, arrested, processed, and transported to Steuben County Jail for CAP where he was remanded on $2,000 bail.

Mikko is charged with criminal contempt in the 2nd degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

Bath Police Department thanked the New York State Police for their assistance.
