FRANKLIN, NH — A 72-year-old man was arrested after an altercation involving a firearm in Franklin early July 8.
Kenneth Legro, of Franklin, was charged with reckless conduct, criminal threatening with a firearm and possession of methamphetamine, all felonies.
Police responded to a report of an altercation with shots fired at an apartment on Central Street at about 11:51 p.m. July 7.
Officers determined the incident had expanded to a second location when involved individuals were found at Cumberland Farms.
Investigators said Legro went to the Central Street residence to confront occupants about counterfeit currency he reported receiving.
During the confrontation, Legro displayed a firearm, leading to a physical struggle, police said.
The firearm discharged during the struggle, sending a round through a window, according to police.
The firearm was later recovered outside the residence.
Legro was taken into custody without further incident.
He refused the services of a bail commissioner and is scheduled for arraignment in Franklin District Court on July 8.
