Man arrested on attempted homicide charge in Columbia

COLUMBIA, PA — A 30-year-old man was arrested July 7 in connection with a shooting that occurred July 4.

Skyler Barr, 30, of Columbia, was taken into custody at approximately 11:41 a.m. by Columbia police.

Barr faces charges including attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, firearms not to be carried without a license, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.

He was arraigned July 7 by Magisterial District Judge Bixler and is being held on $200,000 bail.

Police said the incident was isolated and does not present any further risk to the public.
