Man arrested after foot chase in Hanover Township

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, PA — Police arrested a man after he fled from officers attempting to serve active warrants.

The Hanover Township Police Department took Michael Griffith, 36, of Pennsylvania, into custody following an incident near the Interstate Blood and Plasma Center on Carey Avenue on July 6, 2026.

Officers attempted to arrest Griffith on two active arrest warrants when he fled on foot.

Police apprehended Griffith after a foot pursuit.

Griffith was charged with flight to avoid apprehension, resisting arrest, evading arrest or detention on foot and disorderly conduct.

He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joshua Moses, who set bail at $25,000 unsecured.

Griffith was transported to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility to be held on the two active warrants.
