LEWISTON, ME — Lewiston Police responded to outer Pleasant Street on July 6, 2026, following a report of a robbery.
The victim reported arranging to purchase a firearm from an individual.
When the two met, the seller displayed the firearm and robbed the victim of cash before fleeing the area.
Through the course of the investigation, officers identified the suspect as a 17-year-old Lewiston male.
Investigators recovered the firearm that was used during the robbery, as well as the stolen money.
The juvenile suspect was charged with Robbery, Class A and Criminal Simulation, Class C.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Long Creek Youth Development Center, where he remains.
