WINDHAM, ME — Two people were injured when a car struck a parked trailer on Roosevelt Trail on July 1, 2026.
The Windham Police Department and Windham Fire Department responded to the crash near 999 Roosevelt Trail at approximately 11:10 a.m.
A 2019 Chevrolet pickup truck hauling a car carrier trailer had pulled to the side of the road to change a flat tire when a 2018 Subaru Legacy struck the trailer from behind, according to investigating officers.
Two passengers in the Subaru were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash reduced Roosevelt Trail to one open lane for approximately one hour.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, and no criminal charges are anticipated at this time.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Windham Police Department with the initial crash investigation.
